I sometimes need to show hidden files and folders in macOS Finder. Usually from a file dialog, but other times just to clean up my home directory. These files can take up quite some space while being hidden.
Problem was I keep forgetting the key combination to do this. Best way to remind it for myself is writing a little blog post about it. And hopefully it’ll help someone else along the way.
Let’s just keep it plain and simple. To toggle and hide or show hidden files and folders in your Finder press the key combination: Cmd + SHIFT + .
